Important Message Regarding the ASM Sentinel Procedures: The ASM has recently posted updates to several of the Sentinel Laboratory procedures on their website. These include procedures for Brucella, Burkholderia, Coxiella, Novel influenza viruses, Smallpox, SEB toxin, and Francisella tularensis. Please take a moment to review and replace any printed copies of these procedures you may have on hand and share with any pertinent personnel. Please ensure you are using our newest submission form when submitting specimens.
A few important steps to remember when drawing quantiferon tubes:
1. Check the expiration dates of your tubes. Do not use expired tubes. Call PHLET for new tubes.
2. Draw tubes according to the enclosed document: “Quantiferon TB Gold InTube Collection Procedure”.
Finally, our fee for Quantiferon testing will be changing effective June 16, 2014 to $80.00 per test.
